GA Innovation becomes first company of its kind to achieve AS9120 Accreditation

July 11, 2013 – Beijing, China – GA Innovation China announced that it successfully passed its audit by SAI Global, and its quality system is accredited and able to operate to AS9120, the highest level of organizational and quality assurance certification standard available for aerospace companies.

Based on ISO 9001, AS9120 includes additional aerospace-specific requirements that are identified within the body of the standard. This new standard enables organizations to easily identify where core aerospace requirements exist within ISO 9001. AS9120 requires control of “key characteristics” as identified internally within the company or externally by a customer. AS9120 is based on AS9100 and adds specific requirements that are relevant for stockists or pass-through distributors in the aerospace industry. This standard is applicable for organizations that resell, distribute, and warehouse parts found in aircraft and other aerospace components.
